Letter from Kate Beever

Uncategorized 1 Comment »

Here is a letter that Kate sent to Mrs Stallman, telling her how fantastic you all were on Saturday at Stretford Mall – have a read. Well done everyone!

Hi all,

What a great event on Saturday and the children behaved impeccably. I was really impressed and think this should be fed back to the parents.  They were really professional too and sold really well.  Please find below the amounts for each group they made an amazing £477 profit!!!

Can you thank the children on my behalf for all their hard work? I’ll send the business plans that they need to complete for the final stage of the project in a week or so. Can you also remind them that its not just about who made the most money?  They have been judged throughout the project and the financials are just one part.

Thanks to you as well, I was really pleased with how it went.

Hope you have a lovely Easter break.

Thanks,

Kate

The A team are currently in 2nd position in the league, following a couple of difficult games over the past two weeks. The B team have made great improvements as the seasons has progressed, but are still seeking their second victory of the season.

Skittleball Winners

Uncategorized  Tagged , No Comments »

A huge ‘well done’ to the children who took part in the Skittleball competition at Stretford Leisure Centre on Monday night. Both teams performed incredibly. The B team narrowly lost in the semi-final, which meant that they picked up a well-deserved bronze medal. The A team, after getting through a very tense semi-final, won the competition with a fantastic display of passing and movement against St Hugh’s in the final. We had the added honour of receiving our medals from the mayor of Trafford!

Both myself and Mrs Massey were really proud of the children who played, but also really pleased to see so many children take part in the practices in school with such enthusiasm and ability.

A visit from the artist Lucy Burscough

Year 6 had a fantastic day when Lucy came to visit. She shared with us some of her amazing artwork and the story behind the people in the paintings. We then used some really sharp needles in technique called needle felting. We had to be really careful but we had some brilliant results!
